Mangahewa Expansion Train 2
The Mangahewa Expansion Train 2 is Todd Energy's new gas production facility which is enabling us to significantly increase natural gas from the Mangahewa field.
In early May 2014 we marked a major milestone in the history of Todd Energy, with the official opening of our new gas production facility, the Mangahewa Expansion Train 2 (MET2). It was a proud moment for Todd, with the facility being a critical component of our overall $850 million Mangahewa Expansion Project.
MET2 will more than double Todd’s raw gas processing capacity from 20 to 45 petajoules a year. To put this in perspective, the total yearly natural gas demand for residential use in all of New Zealand is about six petajoules. The new facility should be running at full capacity by October 2014.
