As the only truly vertically integrated energy company in New Zealand, Todd Energy owns and operates its own natural gas, oil, LPG, electricity, cogeneration and solar hot water heating assets, enabling us to manage the entire flow of energy from gas field to customer or from hydro generation to household. Oil & Gas
Todd Energy holds interests in producing fields that account for some 90% of New Zealands annual hydrocarbon production and is one of New Zealand's leading energy producers. Todd Energy has interests in major oil and gas fields including Maui, Kapuni, McKee, Mangahewa, Pohokura and Maari. This experience and direct access to gas means we can offer our customers expert gas advice and enhanced security of supply and much-needed competition into this area of the energy market. An extensive exploration and production programme is complemented by our expanding gas and LPG wholesale, retail and gas reticulation operations.
Renewable Electricity Generation
We take environmental sustainability very seriously and safeguarding our environment for the benefit of future generations is a key part of our long-term commitment to meeting the energy needs of New Zealanders.
Todd Energy has made significant investments in renewable generation developments. Our electricity generation utilises a diverse range of renewable hydro and geothermal energy including hydro at Aniwhenua in Bay of Plenty, Mangahao Hydro Station and geothermal generation in Kawerau. Todd Energy is also the largest generator of electricity in
New Zealand from efficient gas-fired co-generation facilities located in Edgecumbe, Kapuni, Whareroa and New Plymouth.
We are also using technology that harnesses landfill gas at Happy Valley Landfill in Wellington to create electricity, all of which ultimately helps reduce
