Joanna was appointed Chief Executive Todd Energy in 2014 and in addition to this role, she is Vice President New Zealand Upstream Energy with Todd Energy’s parent company, the Todd Corporation, Deputy CEO Todd Offshore and Chair of the Petroleum Exploration and Producers Association of New Zealand.
Joanna graduated from London University with a BSc. (Geology, Hons 1st class) and a PhD (Geology). Joanna has 31 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry with involvement in exploration, development, project management and reservoir geology roles. She has worked in the UK and Vietnam with BP. Joanna migrated to New Zealand in 1997 and was a consultant to Shell, STOS and Fletcher Challenge Energy prior to joining STOS in 2002. During her 12 years at STOS, Joanna held the positions of Deputy General Manager, Joint Venture Business Manager and Exploration and Development Manager for STOS and Shell New Zealand.
Since joining Todd Joanna has overseen the expansion of the onshore Mangahewa gas and condensate field and most recently the acquisition of the onshore Kapuni gas field.
Lou has over 30 years of experience across all facets of the E&P industry including petroleum & reservoir engineering, oil and & development, production operations and new ventures, in operator, service company and independent consulting roles. His strengths are leadership, building effective teams and the exploitation of marginal onshore and offshore assets.
Lou graduated from the University of South Australia in 1985 with a Bachelor degree in Engineering, specialising in mining and petroleum engineering. He joined Schlumberger as a production testing engineer across Asia and then moved into reservoir engineering roles with Santos, Western Mining Corporation and Japan Development Company, working on several of the ‘giant’ oil fields offshore United Arab Emirates.
In 1999, Lou re-joined Santos and held a variety of technical leadership and general management roles. His last role with Santos was as General Manager Central Australia Business accountable for all aspects of the South Australian and Southwest Queensland Cooper Basin, Northern Territory and Victorian assets.
Hamish is responsible for the implementation phase of Todd Energy’s major upstream facilities projects from definition, through execution and on to start-up. Hamish has over 30 years of experience in both New Zealand and international project management and brings a wealth of expertise defining, developing, executing and delivering projects within challenging commercial & technical constraints. Before starting with Todd Hamish held Project Management roles with OMV in Vienna, Shell Pohokura and Worleyparsons in New Zealand.
Justin has worked in the Oil and Gas and Petrochemical Refining industry for the last 26 years. Prior to joining Todd, Justin held senior management roles with Origin Energy for 12 years with various Operations, Engineering and Project roles. Justin holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) from the Nelson Mandela University, South Africa.
Markus is responsible for reservoir development and development engineering. He has 20 years’ experience in reservoir management, petroleum engineering and development. Markus has worked in a variety of countries around the world and held a number of senior management positions working with OMV, Exxon Mobil, STOS and NZOG. Before joining Todd Energy he was Head of Subsurface for OMV in Tunisia. Markus completed his petroleum engineering qualifications in Austria.
Neal is a MBA qualified professional engineer with over 30 years of oil and gas industry experience. His expertise is in maximising the value of oil and gas assets through an in-depth knowledge of the subsurface continuing to the point of sales.
Neal previously served as General Director and Chief Operating Officer of Samotlor Services based in Russia, where he was the Chief Financial Officer of two private companies, served as the Vice President Engineering for several public companies and held numerous managerial positions.
Throughout his career he has maintained a strong technical focus on the oil and gas business and the technological advancements within the industry.
Jane provides strategic and operational leadership of human resources, communications, community relations, sponsorship and administration for the Todd Energy division. She has 20 years’ experience in human resources consulting, management and leadership roles within the NZ oil and gas industry. Jane has previously worked for Fletcher Challenge Energy, Swift Energy, Origin Energy and Resources and Offshore Marine Services. Her experience includes numerous overseas assignments in Australia and the US.
David has held various international management positions for Halliburton in Health, Safety, Environment and Service Quality (HSE/SQ). He has 29 years experience in broad range of HSE/SQ functions during his career, including developing and implementing systems, behaviour based safety performance programmes, and risk management. David holds a Diploma in Occupational Safety and Hygiene.
Ian has over 15 years of experience in the exploration and production industry and has worked in a number of countries around the world with roles at Shell, STOS, Marathon, and BP. Ian has a background in geology and geophysics, with a BA from Oxford University and PhD research at the University of Southern California and The Pennsylvania State University. Ian has worked on a wide range of international exploration and production projects that include new-country entry in West Africa and Kazakhstan, near-field exploration around Prelude in Australia, and late-life reservoir management of the giant Prudhoe Bay oil field in Alaska. Ian is responsible for Todd Energy New Zealand exploration permits and activities in New Zealand.
Chris is responsible for financial planning and reporting, risk and compliance monitoring and information technology for Todd Energy. Chris has over 15 years industry experience. Prior to joining Todd Energy he held senior financial leadership roles at Port Taranaki, TAG Oil, New Zealand Energy Corp. and Origin Energy New Zealand. Chris holds a bachelor of Management Studies degree from the University of Waikato and is a member of the Chartered Accountants of Australia and New Zealand.
